The Point Centre; Fleet
June 23rd 2007
Although the venue was small, as was the crowd, this did not affect the energy the band members put into their performances. All three bands were very different, causing the gig to be more impressive as their music and styles complimented each other greatly.
With 'The Nova' opening up the show, the crowd automatically got into the music by singing along to the very popular hits that most people in the crowd knew, whilst many people formed a mosh pit. Without a doubt the amount of energy their keyboardist and bassist Tom Woodward put into playing shows how much this band love to perform, although some negative rumours have been spread, concerning the attitudes of the members (all of which, as far as we have seen, are false). Seeing 'The Nova' live help those who doubt their abilities or personalities. They are truly enjoyable to watch, and we would recommend all pop-punk lovers to go see this band live

As the gig continued, the next band to take to the stage was 'The Sketch Outfit'. This is a flawless three piece rock band. Although this fabulous band seemed more popular with older members of the audience, no one could fault their performance. There's not much you can say about The Sketch Outfit, apart from they are a truly amazing band to watch live, and that I hope to hear some more of their material in the future.

Last to come to the stage were Rival Pilot. One disappointment here was an apparent lack of passion from the band whilst performing, but this could have been caused by nerves. Lead singer Ben was able to interact with the crowd easily. Their cover of 'knockin' on heavens door' (G'n'R) caused a big reaction from everyone in the crowd, although not necessarily all good. The rather unfunny joke about G'n'R consequently caused several people (ourselves included) to leave the venue.
