The Templar Crusades (Not My Picture)

You wouldn't really think of a small, blue hut in the far corner of a high school playground as being the setting for a metal band's practice, would you? But for the Templar Crusades, it's a weekly event – most likely to the annoyance of the math's department, situated in a building about one hundred meters away. Although tonight, only three of the four members are present, the room they're in is barely big enough to fit all the equipment in, let alone with all the people as well.

What made you decide to start a band?

We were bored and wanted to do something other than drink beer, eat cheese and watch porn.

How long have you been together for?

We kicked out the founding member in November, then the 'great bearded one' [and his ego :P] joined in January.

Where did the name The Templar Crusades come from?

Tom [Acton, Guitar] and Tom [Davis, Guitar] were drunk and came up with it when they realized one of Acton's ancestors was a Templar.

If you could perform live or record with any famous musician/band, dead or alive, who would it be and why?

Steve Vai, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Megadeath

Explain briefly what the song 'Temptation of The Rose' is about please :]

A man so consumed by love for a woman he begins to hate her. He kills her but regrets it.

How do you go about writing a song?

We get drunk and play random s**t, till someone goes 'oohh play that again!'

If you could play any venue in the world, where would it be?

London Astoria. Appollo. Wembly. Download [Festival]. Rock am Ring [Festival, Germany]

Any final comments?

The three commandments:

  1. Drink beer
  2. Eat cheese
  3. Watch porn

-And it's all good.
