Every time I have seen Underbode live, they have proved that they are a band who know what they're doing, and why they are doing it. When they get on stage, the atmosphere becomes electric, and you immediately know that these guys are well on their way to stardom. I sent Ali (Schorah, Vocals/Guitar) a set of questions, and (several weeks later) he sent them back with his responses...
Who are your main influences and how have they affected your playing style?
Iron Maiden; loved them since I was in primary school. They’ve had such an effect on my writing. Lately there’s also a lot of Motley Crue, Gun’s ‘n’ Roses and RHCP in my writing.
When and Why did you guys start playing together?
September 2005 I reckon. Me, Harry and Seán were in a band together previously and I knew Liam from school so we just all got together.
If you could perform live or record with any famous musician/band, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Dr Dre. I’ve heard he’s f***ing dynamite in the studio. I’d love to perform with Hendrix. The dual solos I could do with that guy would blow my c**k off.
What has been your favourite venue/gig you've played to date and why?
We haven’t really played many great venues so I’d have to say the Agincourt. I was so f***ing nervous when I went on there. The lights were so strong I was sweating like a beast.
Explain briefly what the song 'Addictive Child' is about please :]
It’s about me :) I am addictive ha-ha.

*NOTE* Since this interview was done, sadly Underbode have split up. Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming music projects from the individual members.
