This Disaster are one of the youngest bands I know, yet their sound is undeniably professional. Everything about their live show is together and well rehearsed. On Saturday September 22nd Killer Cake Records put on their best show to date, This Disaster played an amazing set and got the room moving. Definitely a band to see live.
When and why did you guys start playing together?
This Disaster formed in March 2007, originally playing with two sax players, and called "The Jaffa Cake Band" They wrote songs about how much they loved Jaffa Cakes, in hopes that McVities would notice. Their local church youth group needed a support band and were asked to play. Four weeks before the event the other band dropped out, and they had to learn 18 songs, in 4 weeks
Where did you get the name 'This Disaster' from?
At their Christian Youth Club they got people to shout random words from the bible at them, someone shouted This and someone else shouted Disaster
